Locating Resources

The learning portal contains a number of resources that may be helpful to early career educators and those that support them. Two areas contain How to Guides for both teachers and administrators. These guides are short, concise resources on relevant topics. For example, in the First Days of School How to Guides there are a number of guides related to establishing classroom management policies, questions to ask mentor or veteran teachers during the first week, and a cheat sheet on education acronyms in the state. Similiar resources can be found in each set of how to guides. They are organized as follows:

For Teachers:

  • First Day of School
  • Classroom Management
  • Individual Education Plan (IEP)
  • Curriculum and Instruction
  • Parent Involvment and Partnerships

For Administrators, Mentors, and Coaches:

  • Induction Programs
  • Mentoring and Coaching
  • Recruitment
  • Working Conditions
